Before and After: Fly Me into Replacement Sky

Here is something I accidently came on in ON1 Photo Raw. While you can replace a sky in Photo Raw, I just happen run into another way when I was working on this shot I took from this year' WACO Reunion airshow. I used a sky texture and it just blended so well.

Before and After: Corvette Flare

Here is something creative and done with only ON1 Photo Raw.

Editing:
Started with the default HDR Look preset and then applied the Pyro LUTs preset. Then I applied the Cool Vintage preset and used the Oatmeal color. A natural Dynamic Contrast was added, follow with a starburst texture with the blend mode set to normal. I used a Tone Enhancer filter to add a vignette instead of using the vignette filter. See, there is more than one way to create a vignette. Next comes a Lens Blur and a white rounded border to finish it off.

New Camera: Canon G5 X Mark II

While I own a full frame Canon 5D Mark III camera, I have been thinking of getting a second camera but a point and shoot type. My 5D is great but is heavy like many DSLRs and with my back problems, carrying around a heavy camera and bag is not helping. Sometimes I just need a camera small and lightweight that I can through into my pocket. I do find that most of the time I am out at the park or riding the bike trail, all I really need is a lightweight small camera.

Canon has come out with two such cameras, G7 X Mark III and G5 X Mark II. The G7 X Mark III, the cheaper of the two, does not have a viewfinder something I am use to having. And it seems more for the vlogger for which I am not. The G5 X Mark II seems to be for the photographer which probably explains why it is the only one of the two that has a pop up viewfinder but it costs a little more than the G7. While I have a iPhone, camera phones in my opinion just can't match the abilities and quality of a camera with an actually zoom lens.

Photo Art: Pelotonia

Once again, a little combination of photography and art using a photo I took from this year's Pelotonia 2019. First, taking a photo into Corel Painter 2020 and using the auto painting feature and using a impressionist style brush. Then, taking what was created and opening into Affinity Photo. There I blend the art and the photo together and added a texture to complete the work.

Pelotonia 2019!
