Affinity Photo 1.7 is out!

Serif has release the latest update to their photo editing software, Affinity Photo!

Affinity Photo is Serif 's Photoshop alternative and while I use Adobe Photoshop, I do have Affinity Photo has an additional photo editor. Yes, I do recommend Affinity Photo to anyone looking for a alternative to Photoshop. When it comes to editing, Affinity Photo is a great alternative or at least an secondary photo editor to have on hand. It does not do everything Photoshop can do like minor video editing, but I have found it can do very well as an photo editor. Once, I accurately went two months using only Affinity Photo. Also, no subscription needed! Affinity Photo is available for Mac and Windows.

Before and After: Classic as Classic

Another old classic from the local car show.

Editing:
I started with the HDR Look filter from ON1 Photo Raw. Then used the Black & White filter, followed by a Split Tone filter to add some sepia color. I used a Photo Filter to add additional color in certain parts of the photo to give an uneven color effect. A film texture I found online was added and a Lens Blur filter. An antique border was then applied to finish off the look.

Before and After: Corvette Postcard

A creative postcard look using a photo and ON1 Photo Raw 2019 and two textures I found online a few years ago.

Editing:
First started with a HDR Look filter and a Black & White filter. Next, I applied a Dynamic Contrast filter. Then comes the first of three textures, first a clean edge paper texture, second texture is a film texture found online, and a third texture of a torn antique postcard. A brown Photo Filter was added to give it a old sepia tone. A vignette was applied followed by a Lens Blur filter. And finally, a simple white rounded keyline border was added.

Before and After: The Old Ford

Capture this old truck at a local car show in 2018. They don't build them like this any more.

Editing:
Use ON1 Photo Raw 2019 by starting with a vintage chrome LUTs and a postcard texture. Added a simple rounded Lens Blur followed by another texture, a light leak texture. Brighten up the photo with a Sunshine filter and a Tone Enhancer filter. A vignette was applied and finished with a sloppy border.

Before and After: Veterans of Memorial Day 2019

Posting a before and after photo from yesterday's local Memorial Day parade of a few veterans. I hate to say it but our local Memorial Day parade was disappointing. It was very small compared to last years. Fewer people in the parade, fewer floats, and one marching high school band (usually we have other bands from other small county schools). Also, it did not have that patriot feel to it. In the end, I shot few photos this parade. Sigh. 

Well, here is the before and after edited with ON1 Photo Raw 2019. Eventually I will have more photos to post later, possibly on my Instagram.

Color and BW: Fall Into

While on Google+, I did a series of "color versus bw" where I posted a color version and a black and white version of the same photo to see which one people preferred. So I am starting this series here on my blog with a shot from my visit to Honey Run Falls.
